Left: Hi... I'm Gugugu... The "star" in this story... Shy la... Please don't look at me....
Imagine my surprise when I open my washroom door and saw a head popping out of the toilet bowl, looking at me very pathetically, crying "HELP" with his eyes... I really didn't know to laugh or to cry...
A little background history...
I've never believed in keeping my rabbits caged... I feel that if I wanna keep them caged then, I might as well not have them... Another thing is that after having to clean the cages of my chinchillas in the past (they have all gone to heaven now), I find then mopping and vacuuming the floor is a lot easier and less tedious than cleaning the cage... Of 'coz have to keep chinchillas in cages 'coz they can jump very high but as for rabbits, well not so high... Thus, I've been keeping my babies in the kitchen... My kitchen is long in shape but with no obvious pet hazards like cables, sharp edges, tiny spaces for them to be able to squeeze through but probably not out... but as the summer in HK had been very hot this year, I've decided to relocate them to the washroom... The washroom's a lot smaller than the kitchen, but compared to lots of caged pets, they are still getting more than their share of space...
So this's the reason why he's or they're in the washroom... But before this incident, I've never seen them hopped to the top of anything... Thus it never did occurred to me that they are capable to do so just yet... And guess who's the star this time... Yap... It's Gugugu (shown in pic attached above) again... I guess alot of you who have read both my last post and this, must be thinking now "she's such an irresponsible pet owner".... Sigh...
Anyway, for the first time in his life, he relaxed when I rescued him out of his predicament and for the first time, he let me bathe and blow-dry him with too much fuss... And what really amazed me when I rescued him was that I then realized that the upper part of his body was perfectly dry while the lower part being in the toilet bowl's of 'coz wet... but this means that he fell leg first... ??? How did he manage that???
Now, I learn my lesson... Remember to keep toilet cover down after use.. so that even if they had a party, they would be one less accident to worry about....
